Inspiration
Although Quizlet is useful, it is too general and covers a lot of projects, and every Quizlet is community-made, which means a high chance of mistakes and errors in the quizlets.
What it does
Mathlet is an easy-to-use site that allows users to not only make their own Mathlets that can be used to study but also use pre-made Mathlets that are accurate.
How we built it
We built it using a starting template for the button designs and background and then using GitHub to code it.
Challenges we ran into
Sometimes, our template would become empty, where all the buttons were invisible but clickable. We realized this happened because the buttons were overwritten by the template background, but it took a lot of debugging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were proud of learning what JSON is and how to use it and we were able to do much more than we did in our 2 previous hackathons. We are just beginners and have gained a lot of experience on coding and making websites.
What we learned
We learned what JSON is and how to use it, as well as how to link other files to our HTML files and use them.
What's next for Mathlet
Making a fully functional create your own mathlet feature(we ran out of time to finish it) and allowing your mathlets to be viewed by others is what's next for mathlet.
