Inspiration
As a teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how many students struggle with math — not because they lack intelligence, but because they lack the right tools, structure, or confidence. Math is one of the most scoring subjects, yet it’s often the one students fear the most.
MathGenie was born out of a deep desire to change that. I wanted to build something that would simplify learning, save teachers time, and make math magical — especially for students who feel left behind.
This app allows:
📚 Teachers to generate full lesson plans in seconds
✍ Students to practice worksheets and quizzes at the right difficulty level
🧠 Learners to explore ancient Vedic Math techniques alongside standard math
👨👩👧 Parents to track progress and stay involved
I built this project using Bolt.new, OpenAI, and design-first thinking. It was developed in under 48 hours as part of the World’s Largest AI Hackathon, and every feature was crafted with my students in mind — especially those who needed extra help or motivation.
What I learned:
How to structure AI prompts to generate real-world educational content
How to work rapidly within a no-code builder like Bolt.new
That the best edtech tools are built from genuine classroom empathy The challenge: The biggest challenge was building something both scalable and simple — while ensuring it stayed personal for each learner. Integrating curriculum standards with Vedic math and AI logic took creativity, testing, and care. This project is a reflection of my purpose as a teacher. To turn fear into confidence. To turn confusion into clarity. To make Math Made Easy — for every child.
