Inspiration
We wanted to make a game where things fall down the screen. With the general educational theme we chose maths in the form of the Suika (Watermelon) Game
What it does
Builds mathematical towers. Tap "A" and "D" to move the new ball left or right. Hold shift to move faster. Drop the ball using the space bar. Balls with the same value will merge. Additional balls "+", "-", "", and "/" all do special things: "+": remakes the collided ball into its absolute value "-": remakes the collided ball into its negative "": doubles the collided ball's value "/": halves the collided ball's value
How we built it
pygame, python, blood, sweat, tears works on all operating systems
Challenges we ran into
collisions
Accomplishments that we're proud of
it works
What we learned
a lot including collisions, pygame
What's next for Mathematical Suika Game
better collisions, more ui elements, music and sound
