Inspiration
Inspiration for this project comes from popular math quizzes. Mental math requires quick thinking which can make for a good game idea. Basic inspiration for this game is to give students a fun way to implement their knowledge.
What it does
In this game you answer simple math questions to climb higher. Meanwhile an evil AI who has trapped you here, disguises himself as a relevant public figure/place/event. As you climb higher he is forced to give hints to as who/what he is. If you guess correctly who the AI has disguised himself as, you win the game.
How we built it
This game is built using Unity 3D. Google Gemini API is used to process LLM requests.
Challenges we ran into
One of the challenges was to get good graphical assets for the game. No matter how good the idea was, without proper graphical representation it did not seem to work well.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully making a working game.
What we learned
Learned a lot about 3d models and animations, handling simple web requests and game engine physics.
What's next for The Climber
To bring many more types of inputs and questions in the math question. To add new sceneries. To introduce different kinds of modes. To add more life like animations.
