Inspiration
We learn many high school students have difficulty understanding graphs and Calculus.
What it does
It is a GUI the user can graph the function and change the variables.
How we built it
We use Java and frame to create a Swing interface. We use java to design our algorithm.
Challenges we ran into
We first want to design our application in a website by using java web start. But we can't have a certificate without a valid domain. So we convert our java file to a exe file.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a tool in Java that really helps students learn math. We believe that the visualizations provided by this application will enable students to learn calculus better.
What we learned
We learn about java algorithm design. How to use java web start and how to convert the jar file to a runnable file.
What's next for Math helper(graphing calculator)
We will continue to update more functions for students to choose from. We will also continue to update our question bank for students to practice
