Old-school text-based dungeon exploration games!

What it does

The app builds a kid-friendly fantasy dungeon setting using Alexa as a narrator/dungeon-master. Users progress through the dungeon by selecting paths (left, right, forward) at intersections. When they encounter a creature they are given an arithmetic word problem. If they solve it they can proceed. If they can't, there is a chance they will be trapped, and it's game over! If they reach the end they will face-off against a wizard and final challenge. If they win they learn a "secret" magic word for the day that they compare with friends.

How I built it

Following the Alexa app creation process in the Developer Portal as well as a few online blog posts to understand features such as audio playback and state-management.
