Inspiration
i remember back in the day, i was grinding for those quant interviews, it was insane, like you had to answer 100 math questions in 8 minutes. and the only way to get better was practicing it everyday for hours.
So i was just messing around building this flappy bird game, and it just hit me... why not mash these two things together? That was it. That was the whole idea. Just make practicing for that stuff actually FUN for once.
What it does
At its heart, Brainy Bird is the classic Flappy Bird game you know. Your reflexes keep you flying. But here's the twist: to score points, you have to fly through the correct answer to a math problem that's displayed at the top of the screen.
Get it right, you score points and build your streak. Get it wrong, you lose a few points.
How we built it
The game is built on Next.js 15 with TypeScript and the HTML5 Canvas for rendering. Also spec driven development from Kiro was the MVP
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Okay, what i'm REALLY proud of is actually learning how to use Kiro properly. like, getting the hang of that whole spec-driven development thing
What's next for Brainy Bird
I'm planning to launch it on X and Reddit, and then building it further, adidng more levels to it and improving the graphics.
