Inspiration:
We have seen cases of needless death due to the lack of proper documentation and record-keeping of accurate data on maternal, newborns. is difficult for healthcare workers to share vital patient history across different units in case of emergency and sometimes due to the loss of records stored through the means of pen and paper.
What it does:
with the help of our app, healthcare workers can collect and store patient data on SharePoint, which allows for sharing of the patient history and reduces pen and paper data collection, doctors and nurses can also keep track of previous patient history and identify if the patient is having a high-risk pregnancy and need closer monitoring.
How we built it
We built a canvas app that allows health care workers to collect patient data and track maternal health from the onset which is from Antenatal to delivery. the data collected are stored on the SharePoint site which acts as a central data repository. with the help of powerBi we can analyze and visualize the data stored on share point for health care managers to see and make informed decisions.
Challenges
We lacked a full working knowledge of the platform and found it difficult to link power bi to our app. It was difficult getting everyone on our team on the same page
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite all the odds we were able to build a fully functional app
What we learned:
teamwork and formulas for common buttons on our Powerapps
What's next
fully integrate power Bi to the app
