Inspiration

as a student myself i know the pain of searching through so many colleges or universities to see if im the right fit. so many cold emails, no replies and rejections so this app is here to fix that problem

What it does

in this app the user feeds in their grades for subjects and the app's algorithm calculates their GPA and accordingly gives them the best matches which can be sorted by location and acceptance rate and by best match and then the user can access the website from the app itself it also provides a short summary if u click on the box of any of the colleges

How we built it

using bolt ai i fed in a base prompt to make the outline of the app then i followed with giving it the algorithm for the calculation and connected the websites later i added some extra details to the app's interface and added some extra features like sorting and location

Challenges we ran into

the main challenge was the few credits that the app gave but other than that for the most part it was smooth sailing however sometimes i would have to re engineer the prompt to get exactly what i wanted

Accomplishments that we're proud of

im proud that we managed to make such a simple UI which took a bit of tinkering and im proud of the calculation that it does which is very hard part for some students

What we learned

we learnt that AI is a really useful tool and that it can change the world especially bolt AI it provides creator's like me to express their creativity in an easy way

What's next for MatchUni

next we hope to make this app global and help students everywhere
