Inspiration

I came here alone and didn't find any teamates.

What it does

Allows users to create a profile and find others who are going to the same Hackathon. You can message these people any form a team before the hackathon.

How we built it

We used next.js for the front end and the server, and SQLlite for the database.

Challenges we ran into

As the application grew and I added more features, we needed more tables wich led to complex querys.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to implement a messaging system with notifications and chat history.

What we learned

Before starting the build process it is important to draw out all the freatures and figure out how they will be implemented.

What's next for MatchTheHacker

Expand form just hackathons. Let people connect on different projects they are working on or a start up they want to create.
