Match me Savings

Inspiration

The challenge of getting young people to save money

What it does

It is an app that users will be able to set a savings goal that keeps track and informs parents when a goal is reached. Once that goal is reached a parent will match the amount saved.

How I built it

I built this using Next.js and Firebase.

Challenges I ran into

Time, I was unable to complete all the functionality before the end of the hackathon.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I was able to get the landing page and authentication working.

What I learned

Using firebase firestore with next js.

What's next for Match me Savings

Completion of key features which I plan to finish:

• Send notification to parents email
• Add savings goal
• Add money to reach savings goal
