Inspiration

We wanted to make a memory game that’s not just about matching cards but also has a cool twist. Since Lebron James is such a huge icon, we thought, "What if you build him as you play?" That’s how the idea was born!

What it does

It’s a matching card game where every time you find a pair; you add a part of Lebron to the screen. The goal is to match all the cards and complete him piece by piece!

How we built it

We made this game using Processing. We coded the cards to reveal when clicked, shuffle randomly, and reveal Lebron parts when matched. We also added some fun visuals to make it more exciting.

Challenges we ran into

One of the hardest parts was making sure unmatched cards flipped back after a short delay. Also, getting the images to show up in the right order was tricky.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made a game that actually works, looks cool, and is fun to play! Also making the images show up after each match was huge.

What we learned

We learned a lot about coding game mechanics, using images in Processing, and making sure the game runs smoothly. We also realized how small changes in design can make a big difference in how fun a game is.

What's next for Match Cards to Build a Lebron

We want to add more effects, sounds, and maybe even different characters to build. It would also be cool to have a timer or a scoring system to make it even more competitive.
