Inspiration
Mastertrader was inspired by a simple stock trading bot built by Elias Zheng for the BNAD-301 extra credit fantasy stock market, which scraped stock trading data from politicians and mirrored the stocks that they were buying. We wanted to leverage the power of AI to expand this project into something greater and more entertaining.
What it does
Mastertrader is an AI-powered stock trading web application that analyzed market trends and buying strategies from the most successful investors of our generation to provide personalized investment recommendations.
Users pick which AI assistant they would like to query, and each assistant has their own plucky personality that the user can relate to.
How we built it
We scraped market data from the web and fed it into an LLM. The front-end facing application was built using React.

What's next for Mastertrader
We hope to expand the list of AI assistants and expand the dataset that we feed into the LLM. Additionally, we would like to provide more insights in the future such as charts and real time data.
