What it does

About the project

We built this budgeting app because managing money in everyday life often feels overwhelming and unclear. Many people struggle to track where their money goes, which makes it difficult to save or plan for future goals. Our goal was to simplify personal finance and make budgeting more accessible and intuitive for everyone.

We were inspired by the idea that financial awareness shouldn’t require spreadsheets or complex tools. Instead, it should feel effortless—something you can check quickly and understand instantly.

What we learned

Through building this project, we learned how important user experience is when dealing with financial data. Even small design decisions can significantly impact how clearly users understand their spending habits. We also improved our skills in designing responsive interfaces and structuring clean, user-friendly dashboards.

How we built it

We designed the interface in Figma and iterated on the layout to keep it minimal and easy to navigate. The app focuses on clear visual breakdowns of expenses and simple input flows for tracking spending. We prioritized simplicity over complexity so users can quickly log and understand their finances without friction.

Challenges we faced

One of the biggest challenges was deciding how much detail to include without overwhelming the user. Budgeting tools can easily become too complex, so we had to carefully balance functionality with simplicity. Another challenge was designing a system that feels both informative and lightweight at the same time.

Final thoughts

Overall, this project helped us understand how design and clarity can make financial tools more approachable. We aim to continue improving it by adding smarter insights and making budgeting even more effortless for users.
