Inspiration
A hard time trying to give a back massage while choosing different youtube videos with oily hands! 😅 .
What it does
Masseur Mode is a Lens for SPECS that guides a relaxation back massage. Light strokes on the back show where your hands go. A pulse sets the pace, and ghost hands show which part of the hand to use. Steps move on by themselves with a soft chime.
How we built it
I planned the Lens with the Devpost Learn skill pack, which wrote the design brief. Claude Code then built it in Lens Studio through CLAD and the Lens Studio MCP. Every done criterion in the brief has a LEAF test, and all five pass. The 3D person was made with free MakeHuman assets (CC0) in Blender.
Challenges we ran into
The preview has no real person, so I used a 3D stand-in and simulated the back scan. My first layout put the user at the person's head, which blocked the view of the back.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The guide sits on the body itself, not on a panel floating in front of your face. A full session runs without touching anything.
What we learned
The hard part was deciding where things should go, not writing the code. Moving the user to sit astride the legs fixed more than any panel change.
What's next for Masseur Mode
Real body tracking on SPECS, then routines for the feet, neck and hands.
