What it does
Maskthis.email allows you to create a disposable email alias that you can use for signups to products, newsletters and other sites that you do not feel comfortable sharing your actual email with.
Emails sent to this alias will then be forwarded to your designated email address OR to a webhook where you can programatically process your emails and send them as notifications over Slack, Discord, Telegram and others.
How I built it
The backend that handles the incoming email and process them for forwarding is built in golang, while the frontend is done in Ruby on Rails
What's next for Maskthis.email
I hope to write more technical blog posts to showcase how you can use webhooks to better take control of your emails.
