How does this project help to the process?

One of the features of the Covid 19 is that it has delayed symptoms with a high viral count. Being asypmtomatic for some time of period makes the virus more dangerous and that is the reason why we started a war against Covid 19 world wide. This project aims to stop the spread of Covid 19. The idea is very simple behind it, eleminating the core reason (virus being asymptomatic) for virus to spread.

How can we disable the strongest weapon of Covid 19?

There should be something that can test people everyday and multiple times in 24 hours to understand if people are infected with the Covid 19 or not.That can be possible with a micro air sensor embedded in a mask that can detect if the person has Covid 19 or not.

How does it work?

A micro air sensor that is embedded in a mask and ability to measure the lung bio markers in human exhaled breath.It will be used as a tool to warn the user and surroundings trough light sensor. Thus people can take faster reaction in order to prevent from more spread.
It involves direct measurement of gases such as nitric oxide and inflammatory indicators in exhaled breath to understand if the person is infected or not.

The findings of our work resulted that: measurment of NO(Nitric Oxide) can be used to determine the person who has Covid 19.

What are the scientific researches about this?

The test results about measuring the NO of the healthy and astmathic human subjects:

First case : used tidal breathing through the nose or mouth and found 30 ppb in control subjects and 2–3 times more increase in asthmatics.

The test results about measuring the NO in a continuous exhaling of healthy and asthmatic human subjects:

Second case: Control subjects were found to have a peak of 80 ppb, untreated asthmatics 283 ppb and treated asthmatics 101 ppb.

How do we interpret these reasearches?

It is definetly a worth while subject to consider it. Since the Covid 19 and asthma has a considerably high effect on the breathing system.

What do we need?

For this project to work there should be a research and sampling about the measurement of human exhaled breath analysis conducted on Covid-19 patients. There should be investments and developments to integrate detecting technology of NO to micro sensors.
