Our team wanted to make a fun game to spread positivity and encourage wearing masks and social distancing during this time.

What it does

The objective of the game is to throw masks at people who are not wearing one and break up people who are not social distancing.

How we built it

Our team used Phaser, JavaScript, Aseprite, and Ableton and deployed our project locally using Web Server for Chrome.

Challenges we ran into

For two of our three team members, this was their first hackathon. I was unfamiliar with game design and making games using Phaser.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

The title screen, music, and great looking character sprites. Great mask throwing mechanic!

How to code using Phaser. Making the art fit the developers needs.

What's next for Mask Man

Further refining the game - adding animations, more sound fx and a story!
