Inspiration
Due to the unavailability of enough industry insight or information which leads to misreading market demand, 42% of startups fails due to it. Increase in numbers of startups in Nigeria which have higher probability of failing if proper market research, data gathering and data analysis is not done.
What it does
Marvin BI is a data analysis company that helps budding Nigeria's startups to perform market research, gather useful data and provide out of the box data analysis solution.
How we built it
A team of 2 members was created with each member having a role of front-end and back-end developer. At the frontend (data is requested and also rendered back to users)-Angular, scss(for better styling), jasmine(to ensure a god test), Typescript(For better scaling) At the backend (This is where most of the process, calculations and analysis occur) Requests from the frontend(user) is processed here and a feedback is sent. Python(Beautiful-soup for web scraping and some data science tools), Django as the backend framework, hosted on heroku adn mongoose as the database
Challenges we ran into
Building the custom web scraper to extract data from the target webpage and parse into the database which will render it back to the user.

We were able to successfully build the web scraping software.
