Inspiration
Children need fun ways to re-enforce that math is fun.
What it does
It creates random math problems and displays possible answers in an AR space around the child. They can tap an answer to get a score. Their score goes up if it's right, and down if it's wrong. There is a countdown timer for each question, with the score amount decreasing over time.
How I built it
I used SparkAR to create the AR scene and object, and JavaScript to code up the game.
Challenges I ran into
I'm completely new to SparkAR and had to learn a lot about the internals and scripting its objects.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I have a functional game working!
What I learned
I learned a great deal about SparkAR.
What's next for mARthA
Expand the type of math questions, the spatial array of answers, and submit a real app.
