Inspiration

I am preparing for my wedding with my fiancée, and during a conversation, the need and idea for an application that would help with the entire wedding organization comprehensively, easily, and at a good price arose. Unfortunately, we couldn't find an application that met our expectations, so I started thinking about such a project myself. The hackathon was the perfect opportunity to bring it to life :)

What it does

It is a comprehensive application that helps with the entire process of organizing a wedding and reception. From saving basic information, through the guest list, to designing the venue layout and automatically assigning guests. Additionally, it offers budget, vendor, relationship, and calendar management.

How I built it

The application was built entirely using Bolt AI and integrations with Netlify, Supabase, and Stripe.

Challenges I ran into

Debugging, fixing, and adding some functionalities became challenging as the application's complexity grew. The significant expansion of the code made it harder to work with Bolt AI.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Many practical solutions that were successfully implemented in the application, which I know can be very useful when planning a wedding.

What I learned

I was finally able to work with an AI tool for application development in a comprehensive and complete way, operating entirely in one place and learning various techniques for such work, e.g., optimizing token usage or correctly indicating the location of changes in the project.

What's next for MarryMaker

I would like to validate this idea with real users to see if it makes sense to compete in the market for this type of solution.
