The Home Page of the website
We first started thinking about a website that showed aggie events, but then decided to make it more general.
What it does
It allows users to post events and look for events. Clicking on the bubbles make it come up with more info. There are also filters and tags to help narrow your search
How we built it
We built it using visual studio razor pages and entity framework core. We collaborated using Git.
Challenges we ran into
Combing our code was a real challenge because none of us are very good at Git, but we learned a lot in the process.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A working google maps api, the ability to store events in a database, and the ability to fetch data and display it on a map. We are also proud of how well the website looks.
What we learned
How to make a website, how the front end and back end interacts, and how to use Git and Visual Studio much better.
What's next for MaroonPages
We hope to have general improvements such as increasing event types, adding a profile page, and eventually get a domain and host the website for others to use.
