Inspiration
Founders often make positioning decisions using generic AI suggestions without evidence of cultural preferences. MarketSense AI explores cultural affinity signals as hypotheses for customer discovery.
What it does
Users enter a business concept, target city, and audience. The app offers an interface for retrieving Qloo cultural entities through a server-side integration and for suggesting market-validation experiments. Cultural affinities are not presented as proven market demand.
How it works
A responsive React frontend calls a validated server endpoint. The endpoint is configured to use a Qloo API key stored only in server environment variables. If no key is configured, the app transparently reports that live analysis is unavailable rather than fabricating results.

Current development status (October 25, 2026)
The responsive prototype is publicly hosted. TypeScript checks pass. Qloo API key access has been requested but not yet granted or connected, so live Qloo results have NOT been verified. The API query and response schema require testing with the issued key. A dedicated public source repository is still needed before final submission.
Challenges
Providing useful cultural intelligence while distinguishing exploratory taste signals from validated purchase intent.
What's next
Connect the Qloo key securely, validate real responses, refine the analysis, publish the full source under an open-source license, and finish the hackathon submission.
