The Story Behind Marketo

It all started during a late-night chat with our team. We were talking about how AI helps people in their daily lives, especially how it makes things feel more personal. Since we knew people love features that involve phone calls in successful apps, we thought, "Why not use this to help businesses connect better with their customers?"

What Marketo Does

We built Marketo to help Indian businesses talk to their customers better. It's like having a smart marketing assistant that helps with everything from coming up with ideas to making phone calls to customers.

Here's what it can do:

  1. Come up with marketing ideas: Helps businesses think of catchy slogans and themes that fit their products and target customers
  2. Create content: Makes attractive pictures, videos, and emails
  3. Group customers: Sorts customer information so businesses can send the right message to the right people
  4. Make phone calls: Uses AI to make automated calls that sound natural and friendly

How We Built It

We used several tools to build Marketo:

  • Python for the behind-the-scenes work
  • FastAPI to make everything run smoothly
  • PostgreSQL to store all the customer information
  • Groq LLM to power the AI brain
  • ElevenLabs to create natural-sounding voices
  • Twilio to handle phone calls
  • Next.js to make the website easy to use

Challenges We Faced

Building Marketo wasn't easy! Here's what we struggled with:

  • Making sure users still had control while using AI
  • Adapting to what Indian customers like (they prefer detailed information presented clearly)
  • Keeping customer information safe
  • Getting everything done in the short hackathon time

What We're Proud Of

Even with the challenges, we're happy about:

  • Creating one place for all marketing needs
  • Making AI work well for Indian businesses
  • Building a website that's easy for anyone to use

What We Learned

This project taught us that:

  • AI is changing how businesses talk to customers
  • Understanding local culture is super important
  • Businesses need all their marketing tools in one place

What's Next
