Inspiration
E-commerce today is fragmented—customers, sellers, drivers, and admins rely on disconnected tools. We envisioned a unified ecosystem where each stakeholder has a purpose-built portal, all communicating seamlessly via AWS—a true “operating system” for marketplaces.
What it does
MarketOS is a multi-portal marketplace platform:
- Customer Portal: AI-powered shopping with visual search, and smooth checkout
- Seller Portal: Analytics dashboard, inventory management, and product listings
- Driver Portal: Smart delivery coordination,real-time GPS tracking, route optimization, and earnings tracking
- Admin Portal: Platform oversight with seller verification, analytics, and user management
How we built it
Tech Stack: React 18 + Tailwind CSS, Node.js/Express backend on Render, AWS Cognito, DynamoDB, Amplify, and Vercel for deployment. Also used Amazon Bedrock for smart AI product suggestions in the customer portal.
Key Features: Multi-table DynamoDB schema, real-time GPS with React Leaflet, Smart AI product recommendations, automated notifications, dark-themed UI with modern animations.
Challenges we ran into
Managing role-based Cognito authentication, real-time order synchronization, efficient DynamoDB design, multi-platform deployment, and Amplify path issues.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Four interconnected portals, real-time GPS tracking, enterprise-grade seller verification, production-ready deployment, and a polished, animated UI.
What we learned
Deep AWS knowledge, multi-stakeholder data modeling, real-time state management, efficient API design, and React deployment best practices.
What's next for MARKET-OS
AI visual search, predictive delivery times, real-time analytics, mobile apps, multi-vendor marketplace, payment integrations, fraud detection, GraphQL API, and social commerce features.
