Markbook++

Inspiration

We were inspired to create a better grade management system for educators on different platforms. We realized that teachers have a need for a cleaner, and easier to use platform that receives better updates and features.

What it does

Our platform offers common features such as course and mark manipulation using a modular system that incorporates the CSV file format which can be opened and manipulated in and out of Markbook++. On top of this, it offers extra features such as visual representations and automatic bell curving which has all been contained within a clean and easy to use design.

How we built it

Using C++ and several libraries, we created a better alternative to Markbook.

Challenges we ran into

We had to figure out how to implement a curve inside of the application.
We also had to make sure the Bell curving feature was properly implemented into the app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The curving feature is something we spent alot of effort and time on and it was a strong and useful tool for our app.
The bell curve, which is an entirely new feature is something that can be really useful and was harder to implement so it is something we are proud of.
