Mark Invention For Life

Inspiration

My inspiration is honesty and fairness. Anyone should and mush have the right to own their invention, their invention should be acknowledge legally so it can not be used by others with our their permission.

What it does

This application targets business owners, it gives them a platform to mark their business name and logo invention permanently on blockchain easily so that they can have evidence to their right over their invention. These application will use external API using chain-link to see past records of already registered patents so that it can address the newly registered users invention before approving it.

How we built it

I would like to mention that this project was started months ago, but it was not finished till now, I decided to finish the project for the chain link hackathon, almost half of the project functionality is done during these recent weeks, I build the smart contract using solidity through the hardhat framework and used react to build the user interface.

Challenges we ran into

I am new to chain link so it challenged me to find the external Api I want for the particular subject I am addressing. Finding a public Api that contain all patent information that ever registered around the world was hard for me, or maybe I did know where to look for to get the data or it is beyond my level to get the data so I did the project with the best I could.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I was able to put what I think the project should be in to code and see most of my functions working so I am proud of that.

What we learned

I learned these new technology called chain link, It is a really important tool to have and know as a blockchain developer. I still have a lot to learn about it but grateful for the little knowledge i got to know due to these hackathon.

What's next for Mark Invention For Life

I want to start first to overcome the challenge I mentioned above. With that being said my big next plan is to change these to business and partner with right people to use these application as a licensed and legit platform to acknowledge people ownership by expanding its functionality from what it is already is now.
