Inspiration

Margdarshak was inspired by the common confusion students face while choosing subjects, skills, and career paths. Despite having access to abundant information, many learners lack structured guidance to make the right decisions. Seeing peers struggle due to unclear direction rather than lack of ability motivated the idea of building a digital guide that brings clarity and confidence to students.

What it does

Margdarshak provides personalized educational and career guidance based on a student’s interests, background, and goals. It helps students understand what to learn, why it matters, and what steps to take next, reducing information overload and poor decision-making.

How we built it

The project was built as a modular, API-driven platform. User inputs are processed to generate structured recommendations and learning roadmaps. Tambo was used to manage data flow, handle structured requests and responses, and ensure smooth integration between components, making the system scalable and maintainable.

Challenges we ran into

One key challenge was simplifying complex choices without oversimplifying guidance. Designing recommendations that were both personalized and actionable required careful structuring. Ensuring scalability while keeping the system reliable and easy to extend was another challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a focused guidance-first platform that prioritizes clarity over content overload. Creating a clean, modular architecture and delivering meaningful, student-centric recommendations are achievements we are proud of.

What we learned

We learned the importance of user-centric design, modular system architecture, and building solutions that support educators rather than replace them. The project also strengthened our understanding of scalable APIs and structured data handling.

What's next for Margdarshak

Future plans include refining recommendation logic, expanding guidance to more domains, and integrating feedback-driven improvements. The long-term goal is to make Margdarshak a reliable digital mentor for students at every stage of learning.
