Inspiration
Modern banking platforms don’t maximize the capabilities of modern AI, while agentic workflows have reduced complexity in areas like data acquisition and processing. We set out to build the bleeding edge of the modern chatbot: something not just reactive, but able to fully utilize existing bank API infrastructure to deliver well-personalized suggestions that help people reach their financial goals.
What it does
Our platform provides a supercharged, voice-enabled chatbot that retrieves information programmatically as users ask for guidance. Users express their queries, and our system pulls the required information to deliver the best personalized guidance experience possible.
How we built it
We built a financial platform frontend and connected it to a model platform hosted on a private GPU node. We used information from the CapitalOne API to provide seed transactions and verify the platform’s functionality.
Challenges we ran into
We wrestled with scope creep and the inherent complexity of making a platform hosted across multiple devices work cohesively.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a powerful, intuitive platform in far less time than expected and helped our members rapidly level up on technologies they hadn’t used before.
What we learned
The biggest planning bottleneck is ensuring the team is fully utilized regardless of individual backgrounds. Although time pressure makes it tempting to let people stick to what they already do well, creating learning opportunities spreads the load and speeds up building a working platform under tight deadlines.
What's next for Marbles
More features, more integrations, a smoother workflow, and synthetic data to stress-test every corner of the platform.
