Inspiration

Pokemon GO and the use of maps as an untapped social resource.

Used to connect people through maps.

MEAN stack and google maps api.

Limited time and angular directives were challenging to learn for google maps api.

Proud that we worked collectively to learn different technologies and languages.

Learned to be more ambitious about our project choice. It takes longer to create something as complicated as a social network in 36 hours.

Updated posts, designs, and network. Also yelp api.

I contributed to mapsical by creating the front-end portion with 1 other teammate. Although it was our first time really attacking a project using HTML and CSS, we managed to create 5 different web pages which were able to take user input as well as link between one another. The main issue we faced was connecting our front-end contribution to our teammates back-end code.

Purvai Nanda
Worked on using Nodejs + dependencies for user authentication on the back-end with another teammate, and it was my first time using the rest of the MEAN stack. I struggled a bit with Angular and using the Google Maps API, but building this app was ultimately a great learning experience.

Nagma Kapoor
