Inspiration

Road rage is not just frustrating — it’s dangerous. Across the world, aggressive driving leads to countless accidents, violent encounters, and trauma, yet most victims have no way to document or report the danger in real time.

We were inspired to build RageRoud to solve this:

A global panic button for drivers.

A way to live-stream, geo-tag, and alert authorities instantly.

A platform where safety doesn't stop at borders.

In short: we wanted to make sure no one drives alone when facing danger.

What it does

RageRoud is a real-time, AI-powered driver safety companion with:

🌐 Real-Time Location Sharing Your exact coordinates are routed to nearby law enforcement — globally.

🧠 AI-Based Threat Detection Using voice tone, crash impact sensors, and sudden acceleration patterns, RageRoud prioritizes incidents based on severity.

📡 Global Law Enforcement Dashboard Verified officers across borders can monitor, respond, and collaborate through secure live feeds.

🚘 Cross-Border Safety Traveling abroad? RageRoud ensures safety doesn’t end at a country's border.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Global compliance: Data privacy and legal complexities when dealing with law enforcement across countries.

Latency on live video: Ensuring minimal lag when streaming over cellular data.

False positives in threat detection: Avoiding alert spam from harmless arguments.

Trust & verification: Validating law enforcement officers on the platform without compromising user safety.

Battery and data usage: Managing app impact during prolonged events.

Built a working SOS → Stream → Route to Police pipeline .

Integrated real-time AI threat detection from just ambient driving sounds.

Created a fully interactive police dashboard with filters, audio logs, and threat prioritization.

Developed a cross-border safety architecture that worked in both the US and India.

User trust is everything. A safety platform must feel safe before it even functions.

There’s a huge opportunity for global emergency tech — especially when most solutions are local-only.

AI threat detection from real-world driving data is highly non-trivial — but with the right models, even ambient sounds tell a story.

Real-time UX is hard, but it’s essential in life-or-death situations.
