Mapamatic is an automated mapping system developed for Google Glass. The goal of this system is to create a crowdsourced Google StreetView equivalent, which contains higher levels of detail and is kept current. TomTom estimates that 15% of all roads change each year and 26% of drivers are directed by their GPS to no-entry or prohibted areas on a yearly basis.

The app uploads multiple images taken from Glass while the user is moving. The images taken during that period are uploaded to the cloud for processing. These images are stitched into a single panorama using SURF feature recognition and downloadable.
