Inspiration

Our interaction with the specially-abled people through various means helped us to understand and analyze the problems faced by them. We observed a huge gap between the opportunities provided to them and them accessing it. The inspiration to help them in every phase of life, from being a student to being self-dependent or being a social worker and making their organization successful. A smile on the face and pride in the eyes of each and every specially-abled individual was the intent of ours and also one of our inspirations behind our project "MANZIL"

What it does

 Manzil is a one-stop platform that acts like the torchbearer in the path of success for all the specially-abled friends. With the help of technology, our portal is connecting the specially-abled ones directly to all the opportunities available to them. Our feature of “Products” is not only empowering the various NGOs working for the specially-abled people by helping them to become financially independent, definitely a progressive step towards an “ATAMNIRBHAR BHARAT”. Our features like scholarship and job opportunities help them explore the pool of chances present for them. The feature of Courses will empower them to upgrade their skill and be equally deserving as any other individual.

The most unique feature of our portal is the varied range of facilities it provides: We have a Voice Command system and Automatic Reading System to help the visually impaired easily navigate through the website. We have designed the color palette of the portal, in accordance with the accessibility of color blind people.

Challenges we ran into

   There are various maze-like websites present on the web, which makes it really difficult even for us to decode the data and get the most accurate and helpful one. We also faced a few difficulties while hosting our ML-powered course on the platform. We were determined to resolve any challenges that came our way, as these were quite small ones in front of the challenges faced by our specially-abled friends.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  Our accomplishment that we are proud of is definitely our idea and the inspiration behind it.

We are proud of our motive to help all our specially-abled friends who might not be monetary in a direct way, with the most powerful tool of the present time, technology. With the help of technology we are not only providing them the opportunities but are also helping them to find their strength and create their own opportunities rather than depending on others. We are also proud of all our features of voice recognition, voice command which were a result of a genuine desire to help our friends in any way possible. Last but not least we are proud of ourselves and our team's efforts, due to which we are able to formulate our idea and plan its execution in the most accurate way possible.

What we learned

  Just a spark of an idea and the inspiration behind it can help you execute your plan in the most efficient way. We experienced the run of adrenaline while testing our first course for the portal, and imagining the way it would help our specially-abled friends.

We learned dedication, time management, and most important thing “Where there is a will, there is a way” This portal is a solid example of how powerful technology can be and help various people empower themselves.

What's next for Manzil

Manzil is the teaser of the bigger picture that we have in mind to help our specially-abled friends. These are the below plans and goals of Team Empower to help reach all our specially-abled to their manzil: We are planning to introduce and incorporate various features to help people overcome any sort of disability. We are planning to include an automatic scholarship and job up-gradation so that no one misses any sort of opportunities. In our courses feature, we will be introducing live streaming sessions to help them gain knowledge and skill in the highest quality possible. We will be upgrading our products page, into state wise as well so that any hand-made products brought up by the NGOs helping specially-abled individuals don't miss out. We also are including Made In India regular use products of specially-abled people, to strengthen our vision and mission of ”ATMA NIRBHAR BHARAT”
