Inspiration

Manthan AI, is inspired by the mythological event of Samudra Manthan, the churning of the ocean where poison (Halahala) emerged before the nectar (Amrit). Lord Shiva had to consume the poison before creation Amrit could, symbolizing that progress begins only when we confront the negatives before seeking rewards

What it does

We reimagined this wisdom for the modern age by creating an AI that “churns” user ideas to reveal both their pros (Amrit) and cons (Halahala)

How we built it

We developed Manthan AI as an interactive web app using TypeScript. We wrote the basic code and modified it , finally deploying the app throught lovable. The interface integrates myth-inspired visuals and churning animations to make the experience thoughtful and engaging.

Challenges we ran into

Our main challenges were achieving balanced AI reasoning, merging tradition with modern design, and maintaining performance.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned how ancient philosophy can guide responsible technology design and how difficult it is to build an AI that challenges ideas rather than just agrees.
