Based on our finance background, we wanted to help Wheat farmers out by providing them with quantitative and qualitative analysis on price punctuation of Wheat depending on the weather condition.

Provide mean value of percentage changes in the price of the Wheat when Manhattan, Kansas had drought

How we built it

Web Scraping historical price of Wheat Future on CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) and historical weather data of Manhattan, Kansas

This could really help farmers out as they are coming back slower than any other industry from pandemic by providing them historical data of wheat prices.

What we learned

It’s one thing to come up with the idea, but it’s harder to make it simple enough for everyone to understand

Getting financial support to have access to more complicate data and recruit more teammates to develop comprehensive program to automatic this program
