Inspiration
We wanted to make sure that recruiters and interviewers aren't biased towards their candidates based on their voice or their appearance, so we thought of stripping it all off the application.
What it does
With our platform, recruiters can only see the candidates' skills and experience, and not any identifiable information that can fuel their biases.
How we built it
We stored the applicant's data in firebase, and developed a website so that the recruiter only sees the necessary information. When they select the applicant ID to reject or accept, they can send the applicant an email regarding the next steps. We used a raspberry pi 3 as a voice modulator.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge we faced was integrating the back end with the front end, especially when using different tools for design and development.
Another challenge we faced with the voice modulator's files were constantly getting corrupted.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made a team member sound like her male friend. Found a plug in that converts Figma designs into html code!!
