Inspiration

We were inspired by the cutting edge technologies equipped in countries such as China and Japan (MAGLEV and monorail trains), that aimed to minimize disturbances to the surrounding environment, while offering high speed transportation solutions.

What it does

Our monorail bridge system utilizes a box girder to transport a monorail underneath a traditional cable bridge structure. The cable bridge allows cars and other vehicles (such as extra ambulances) to travel across it, and the monorail provides rapid servicing between PG and HSL for medical emergencies.

How we built it

We created initial iterations considering loads, types of bridges, causes, environmental conditions, and geography. These were all incorporated into a final design (3D model) and sketches.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into some challenges incorporating the monorail into the cable bridge, as we had to consider new weight and load requirements, that required us to increase the strength of the bridge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the cohesive and creative solution we were able to come up with, as it addresses multiple aspects of their society and is a well-rounded, sustainable, and accessible solution.

What we learned

We learned how to work around design failures or issues, create better design iterations, and summarize all design points into one 3D model.

What's next for Mango Paramedic Solutions

We are planning to expand our solutions to other communities, addressing sustainability, health accessibility, and convenience issues worldwide.
