Inspiration
This project was inspired by the Mango Markets brand and team. We believe that Mango will become the leading product for leveraged trading on the Solana blockchain. Pairing their brand with our artist skills, we decided to release an NFT collection based on mangoes. This submission will be the integration of that collection into Mango Markets.
What it does
It pulls the Metaplex metadata for the NFTs and displays it in replacement of the default profile picture.
How we built it
We used snippets from the Metaplex code and integrated it into the Mango codebase to retrieve and use the NFTs.
Challenges we ran into
Currently there isn't a way to query NFTs based on projects from Metaplex. It is only done using the mint address rather than the update authority address. This means we have to loop through each NFT to verify if it is a Mango Heroes NFT or not.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of integrating into a great product and working with a smart dev team in order to make this a reality.
What's next for Mango Heroes
Next we will continue to implement community-based features into Mango to eventually create a trading metaverse using Mango Heroes as the avatar.
