Inspiration
We have a passion for building habits that help the environment, and we wanted to tie our programming skills in with that.
What it does
Our website teaches people what they can do to improve the earth.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to make this website. JQuery was also used to make writing JavaScript more efficient.
Challenges we ran into
Our main challenge was regarding the conception of this project, as we didn't know where to begin or how to effectively promote sustainability. After hours of brainstorming, we decided on making a website with entertaining components to capture the attention of our users and encourage them to build green habits.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made the game in JavaScript which isn't typically meant for games. This challenge proved to be interesting and rewarding.
What we learned
Some of our members learned HTML for the first time and we were able to competently put a website together.
What's next for Mandrake's Guide to Sustainability
We want to add another page that tracks specific congress member's voting regarding green bills.
