Inspiration

Manbaa started from a simple idea: building an application should not require starting everything from scratch. We wanted to make the process more visual, guided, and accessible with the help of AI.

What it does

Manbaa helps users create and manage applications through a visual interface. Users can define their needs, generate an initial structure with AI, edit the result, and manage projects and versions in one place.

How we built it

We built the platform with a React frontend, a NestJS backend, PostgreSQL, and an AI service for generation. We also used Docker to make the environment easier to run and deploy.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge was connecting AI generation with a structured and editable visual schema. We also had to manage versioning, validation, authentication, and communication between several services.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of having built a functional foundation with project management, application creation, schema validation, versioning, and AI-assisted generation. We also managed to keep the architecture modular and deployable.

What we learned

We learned that AI generation is only useful when the result stays structured, editable, and under the user’s control. We also learned the importance of validating every generated result before applying it.

What's next for Manbaa

The next step is to improve the visual editor, connect more AI generation features, add better collaboration tools, and make deployment of generated applications simpler.
