💡Inspiration
We realized that while there are so many apps for productivity, very few genuinely offer emotional support in a kind, safe, and human-like way.
Mannavastha was inspired by the quiet mental battles people fight daily — anxiety, burnout, overthinking, and emotional exhaustion.
We wanted to create a space where anyone could just breathe, vent, and heal — without fear of judgment. An AI that doesn't just reply... but understands.
💡 What it does
• Mannavastha is an AI-powered mental wellness companion. It provides:
•Friendly, emotionally intelligent chat conversations
•Gentle breathing exercises
• Journaling prompts
• Mood check-ins
• Voice interaction using ElevenLabs It acts like your safe space — always there when you need to talk or reflect, day or night.
🛠️ How we built it
We used:
• Frontend: React + Tailwind CSS
• Voice AI: ElevenLabs
• AI Agent: Mistral model via GPT4LLM
• Backend/Database: Supabase + Firebase Auth
• Prototyping & Testing: Figma + Bolt
• Deployment: GitHub + Vercel
• We focused heavily on UI softness, emotional tone, and seamless chat+voice integration to make it feel like a true support system — not just another bot.
✅ Challenges we ran into
• Making the AI emotionally intelligent and comforting, not robotic.
• Getting voice and chat to work together without delay or glitch
• Designing a frontend that feels aesthetic but calming
• Ensuring the app didn't trigger emotional distress — so we refined tone & behavior carefully
• Hosting issues with chat agents, API quota limits, and model restrictions
🌈 Accomplishments that we're proud of
• We built a fully working, voice-powered AI wellness companion in one go
• Our agent responds naturally, gives affirmations, and holds space for users emotionally
• The design was appreciated during user testing — especially by students, creators & late-night overthinkers
• We integrated voice + chat + journaling in one platform
📚 What we learned
• How to use LLM prompting to build emotional tone
• The power of voice interfaces in mental wellness
• How to deploy a full-stack SaaS on GitHub + Vercel
• Building a product that’s not just “smart” — but human
• Most of all, we learned that tech can heal, when designed with intention 🌷
