Inspiration

We were not sure at all about what to develop during this 32h so we decided to choose one of Roche's Lab proposal.

What it does

It is supposed to provide the laboratory technicians with a tool that allows them to generate and modify reports associated to different patients. The are allowed to create their own document arranging the elements as they want, downloading them or saving the documents online.

How we built it

We developed a website hosted in a webserver and associated to a database. Unfortunately we were not able to link the database but we have been capable of implementing a website hosted in a server and the beginning of a GUI based on python (flusk) so the technician can custom each report.

Challenges we ran into

  • Connecting the database to our website
  • Creating the GUI based on python
  • Dealing with several connection problems
  • Correcting some PHP mistakes we made during the time of coding.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We have worked in a proper way
  • We have kept very organized during the 26 hour of coding
  • The design was good-looking
  • To solve challenges such as finding a server available even if we had several firewalls that did not allow us to use external ones.
  • Being capable of creating an XML editor.

What we learned

  • We have learned more about JS, HTML, Python, PHP and other languages.
  • We have also learned new algorithms, libraries and methods to achieve our goals.

What's next for Mamuthack---Lab-Webpage

Only they know :)
