Makeup Forme

What it does

Makeup Forme is a mobile forum for discussion about user experiences with whatever products, cross-vendor, that they've tried. It is a centralized hub for women to share what works for them and why. Does one brand make your skin type break out but the other leaves you looking flawless? People with your skin type want to know! Makeup Forme recognizes that your skin tone and type aren't the only driving factors to motivate your interest in a product. This is why users are prompted to enter key information relative to their personalities, would you say you're somewhat introverted but still like to go out over the weekend? This information helps determine what group of users support products that you might also like, enabling a better recommendation system to help you on your makeup journey. This process of sharing information related to your experiences in a tag-based fashion is quicker and more to the point than any 20 minute long Youtube recommendation video. But videos still exist on Makeup Forme! Users can upload pictures and brief videos to both their Routines section attached to their profiles and to forums that discuss products featured in their images. Uploads to Makeup Forme do not go unnoticed. Users can follow one another and can like each others Routines, Looks, and Faces of the Day (FOTD) with tagged products embedded within their photos. FOTD from those you follow appear on your homepage and are integrated with other users unknown to you, pushing your makeup repertoire further each day. Makeup Forme facilitates a community of like-minded users for sharing their experiences and enables exploration into new depths by removing the walls of makeup recommendation placed on users by vendors and blogs that push particular products.
