Purpose
MakeItRap is a creative web project I build for making short personalized rap greetings and social clips from a photo and a template.
Workflow
Choose a template, upload the required photo or photos with permission, and add a name. The current video workflow produces a short vertical rap clip with sound, available as an MP4 download. Templates include birthday greetings, friendly roasts and a two-person hotel lobby duet. Video generation uses credits; the separate lyrics writing and editing tool is free.
Implementation
The application uses React and TypeScript with Cloudflare deployment tooling. The template-driven interface makes the number of required photos and the intended scene explicit before generation.
Design considerations
A personal greeting should be recognizable without making claims about a real person that they did not approve. Review names, wording and visual artifacts before sharing a clip. The product uses original AI rap and beats rather than real-artist voice impersonation.
