Inspiration
All publications published by WHO are licensed CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 IGO; thus making it impossible e.g. for wikipedia to use the high-quality content. Open licences like CC BY or CC BY-SA are preferrable.
There are role models, e.g. https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/news/commission-makes-it-even-easier-citizens-reuse-all-information-it-publishes-online
What it does
Opening up high-quality content to fight disinformation online
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
There is many an institution that embraced open licenses for sharing high quality content and data. https://pro.europeana.eu/post/europeana-opens-up-full-dataset-for-re-use
What I learned
Restrictions introduced b/c of fear are often ill-advised.
What's next for Make WHO content re-usable
WHO should update their licensing policy and make its content re-usable for everyone.
