Our Team Nane

The Pepegas

What it does

It's just a simple website that tells you guys a little about each of us. It doesn't do much but we were just testing out html/css and trying it for fun for the first time.

Inspiration

We weren't responding to any challenge, we mainly did it for fun and for the experience of our first hackathon. We just used what we learned from the workshops and put it together into one website and used our creativity.

How we built it

We built it using HTML and CSS on repl.it. Then we turned that into a real website for anyone to see!

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was to get the words aligned properly. It wasn't easy to find out but we managed to figure it out at the end. Another challenge was getting all the hyperlinks to work properly so that when pressed, they open the corresponding tab.

Accomplishments we are proud of

We are really proud of how our website came out despite it not being very fancy and complex. It was enjoyable to be able to make our own website using our own code instead of using other people's templates. This gave us a way for our creativity to get loose. We are proud of taking part in this hackathon because it sparked a lot of hobbies/interests in us and possibly inspired us to follow the career of a hacker/programmer.

What I learned

We learned a lot of stuff about programming languages. We learned how to make a simple website, how to add pictures, change font and sizes, add cool features to websites using html and css. We also learned some java and python and how we can use them to make really cool applications and innovations.

What's next for the pepegas

We hope to use the knowledge we gained over this weekend throughout our lives. Each of us love computers and programming and this will motivate us to make more projects and pursue this line of career possibly. The experience of this event will be one we will remember as it taught us a lot about programming and made us interested in becoming a hacker.
