Make me Dance

Inspiration

We love to dance, but often, our videos are plain and boring without any editing. It takes a lot of time to create good dance videos with VFX. So for this hackathon, we thought we'd create something that would help us create good dance videos right from our phone without needing any post-processing.

What it does

We created a Snapchat lens with some sick VFX effects, triggers on body movements, a little bit of post-processing filter magic, 💝 and 🕺

How we built it

The entire project was made in lens studio, the body mesh was edited in Blender.

Challenges we ran into

VFX! It was difficult to get the vfx just right so it would spawn and move particles like we imagined.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being able to learn Lens Studio and create a dope Dance filter in less than 48 hours.

What we learned

We learnt:

• how to make Snapchat lenses
• using blender
• working with VFX

What's next for Make me Dance

More dance triggers and maybe a dance challenge.
