1. Inspiration

We remembered our first payslip.

Most of us were confused. "Why is my salary less than what I was promised? What is EPF? SOCSO? PCB? Do I need to pay tax?"

We asked friends and family. Some knew. Most didn't.

In Malaysia, fresh graduates start work every year. But schools don't teach us about EPF. Universities don't explain PCB. Parents struggle to explain because the rules keep changing.

We built Majulah Duit so no one feels confused about their first salary again.

2. Accomplishments That We're Proud Of

a) Built a working app in 48 hours using Google AI Studio and Gemini

b) Accurate EPF/SOCSO/PCB calculator that uses current Malaysian rates

c) 4 language support - Malay, English, Mandarin, Tamil (tested with native speakers)

d) Talk Bot that understands Manglish - try "Aku gaji RM3,200 kena potong tak?"

e) Interactive tax quiz that makes learning fun (users actually enjoyed it!)

f) Simple design that our parents could use without help

g) Video guides in simple language for visual learners

Proudest Moment: When our tester (fresh graduate, first job) said:

"I've been working 6 months and never knew my employer adds 13% to my EPF. This app showed me I have extra money I didn't know about!"
