Inspiration

I was inspired when my friend needed help choosing a career path/major to pursue, and wanted to integrate AI into sections of their path.

What it does

It allows users to take a career-aptitude test, and provides them with a major with the best match, advice from an AI Advisor, ways to get started, role models in that field, and potential careers.

How we built it

I built the app using html and javascript, using next.js as my framework.

Challenges we ran into

One main challenge was formatting the UI into a form that we wanted, and since I was pretty unfamiliar with html, I needed to learn a lot to format the UI correctly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The friend that inspired this project took the career aptitude test and it helped her use AI to pursue a major that she got as a result of the test.

What we learned

I have learned that AI is not only a major factor in majors such as Computer Science and Machine Learning, but virtually any major out there.

What's next for Major Match

I hope to soft launch this project to a small testing group before releasing it into my high school.
