Inspiration

Being able to wash hands using clean and affordable water especially for the poor backgrounds

What it does

A water filter system that is able to supply approximately 300 liters of clean water

How I built it

Using 90% of natural resources and 10% recyclables

Challenges I ran into

Inadequate financing Negative attitude from the community members

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Becoming close to building a large scale prototype that is able to filter water for use by the local residents

What I learned

Patience and importance of putting the needs of the target audience first

What's next for MajiSafi

Being able to supply clean filtered water and reducing dependency on water services provided by the government while empowering locals from poor backgrounds to be self sufficient to provide for themselves water.
